Ivan Feris

Ivan Feris represents clients in complex commercial litigation, investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters. His experience includes high-stakes disputes involving antitrust matters, appellate litigation, legal malpractice claims, judgment enforcement actions, and international arbitration. 

Ivan was part of the legal team representing President Donald Trump and his entities in New York v. Trump et al., Index No. 452564/2022 (Sup. Ct. N.Y. Cnty.), both at trial and on the appeal of New York’s civil fraud judgment, which resulted in a landmark victory overturning a nearly $500 million monetary penalty.

Ivan also participated in drafting the motion-to-dismiss briefing in United States v. Trump et al., Case No. 23-80101-CR-CANNON-REINHART (S.D. Fla. 2023), successfully obtaining a dismissal of a criminal prosecution against President Trump on constitutional grounds. 

Ivan previously practiced at two Am Law 100 firms, where he represented clients in sophisticated litigation and investigations across a range of industries and legal issues. 

Ivan earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law, where he graduated as salutatorian of his class. During law school, he interned with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, assisting attorneys in representing indigent clients.

Ivan earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, from Florida International University. He is fluent in Spanish.
