Continental Partner Lazaro Fields has been appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on the First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) for a term ending July 1, 2030.
The JNC is responsible for vetting and recommending applicants to the Governor to fill judicial vacancies on the First District Court of Appeal.
Fields is a trial lawyer who represents businesses and individuals in government investigations, criminal litigation, and complex commercial disputes. Before joining Continental, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
This appointment continues Fields’s service in positions of public trust. He was previously appointed by Governor DeSantis to the Fifth Judicial Circuit JNC and by Speaker Jose Oliva to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Governors.
