CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA –Attorneys John Arrastia Jr., Anne Corcoran, Jesus M. Suarez and Former Ambassador Carlos Trujillo announce the formation of the law firm Continental PLLC with offices in Florida and Washington, D.C.

CONTINENTAL PLLC combines the international, commercial and bankruptcy/insolvency litigation practices which are led by Messrs. Arrastia and Suarez, together with Ambassador Trujillo and Ms. Corcoran’s broad government’s government, corporate and litigation capabilities. The new firm excels at navigating clients through complex legal, political, and business environments in Florida, Washington D.C., and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Arrastia and Mr. Suarez practiced together at Miami- based Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A., where Arrastia was a shareholder and Suarez was a partner. Mr. Arrastia is a noted arbitrator and “bet the company” litigator, with over twenty-five years’ experience as a first chair trial lawyer. Mr. Suarez is recognized for his ability to navigate clients through complex legal, media and political environments; and was recently appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. They are joined in the new firm by associates Carlos E. Alvarez and Angelo M. Castaldi, where the team continues representing its marquee roster of fiduciary and litigation clients in high stake matters.

Ms. Corcoran joins Continental PLLC from AMLAW 100 firm Nelson Mullins. Ms. Corcoran focuses her practice on representation of corporations and government agencies on issues including public records law, corporate structure, elections law, and constitutional matters. She was appointed by Attorney General Ashley Moody to serve on the Florida Commission on the Status of Women and has served on Judicial Nominating commissions for the First and Fifth circuits.

Ambassador Trujillo’s broad legal practice includes providing strategic legal counsel to clients facing the most complex legal, government and political challenges. He often represents multinational corporations and family offices in legal matters arising throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Ambassador Trujillo draws on his extensive relationships and depth of experience from his tenure as the most recent permanent representative to the Organization of American States and served as Representative of the United States to the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations under former Ambassador Nikki Haley in 2017. He was recently appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Board of Trustees of Florida International University. Ambassador Trujillo was a prosecutor in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives (2010-2018), where he served as Chairman of the Florida House Appropriations Committee which required him to appropriate and supervise a $83.5 billion dollar budget.

The firm’s founding partners state that they “are thrilled to combine John and Jesus’ market-leading litigation practice with Carlos and Anne’s depth of experience in government and politics. We are excited to launch Continental PLLC at the intersection of law, business and government.” Continental PLLC is a 100% minority and woman owned law firm.
